Welcome to Tamu Pariwar New York, Inc., a non-profit organization, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the vibrant and rich Gurung culture. The Gurung community is one of the indigenous ethnic groups native to the Himalayan and highland regions of Nepal. Our community is known for its distinctive traditions, music, dance, food, language, and way of life which have been passed down through generations.

 

Our organization aims to honor, preserve and promote the unique Gurung culture, while also empowering the Gurung people through various initiatives. From cultural events and festivals to educational programs and community projects, we strive to strengthen the Gurung community by fostering a sense of pride and belonging.

 

Tamu Pariwar New York, Inc. strives to bring together Gurung families living in and around New York to create a sense of community and harmony and provide a platform for cultural exchange. We organize various cultural and social events throughout the year, such as cultural festivals, sports events, and get-together events. These events provide an opportunity for members of the Gurung community to come together, share their experiences, and celebrate our shared heritage.
